seen the real biggest loser
It's great to be back. Sorry I missed the weigh in, I was sitting in the airport. It was great to be able to meet the other contestants off the show the "Biggest Loser". I got to sit in the front row, about 1 foot from the stage. After the show we went to the after party and got to meet many of the contestants. It was so inspiring to here the stories and see the great results. Our state was represented by a super person, Jennifer is very nice and has lost a lot of weight. Also there was my daughter who represented ND and Melinda from Alabama who was also from Minnesota. On wednesday morning we woke up early to work out and Melinda was also working out, I was real polite because this woman is in fantastic shape(super muscles) and could kick my butt. I got a chance to meet many of the families and talk to them. All these people have the same issues that we have and it was not easy for any of them. After seeing how many of them lost significant weight (12 lost over 100 lbs) I know that I can do it.
People think that Marty is full of himself, well I hope so he deserves it. The guy looks great and is a very friendly person. He is my inspriation.
Poppi from New Jersy is probally one of the neatest people you could ever meet. When the host called her Poppi doll, that is who she is. Full of energy and just so outgoing. Anyone who can go from a size 22 to a size 2, WOW.
My daughter got to know Jeron from Arkansas, he was the other at home person brought back on the show. I met him and his wife, really great people who are just so sincere and sweet and so humble. He tried real hard to be the at home winner.
I also got to meet Kim the trainer, another WOW, great looking and so nice. There were no cameras allowed so I didn't get her picture, but I did get a hug, another WOW.
I never realized that losing weight was a emotional thing. I have lost and gained as much as 70 lbs over the years. I watched my daughter go thru many ups and downs duirng this show. After talking to the families(to get the real story), they all went thru a real emotional roller coaster. So I hope that will help me and all the contestants on this contest realize that we are not different and we can do it.

week 3
After a tough week thinking I wasn't losing anything I managed 4.4 pounds gone, hopefully forever. It is so great to have people to workout with. I think that is what I need. I will be gone for the next week, off to be in the live studio audience at the Biggest Loser in Hollywood. good luck to all the others working out. This will give Bill a week to get my picture posted and time to fix my weight at the fitness center(yes Bill it's wrong on the board). The hard part is going to get exercise and eat well when on vacation. GO JASON'S TEAM(the blue team)

in shape
I was just talking to super sales guy Jeff Anderson about being in shape. I was explaining that I was in shape, round is a shape and I have this one perfected. So to all the other big losers out there, WE ARE IN SHAPE, just not the shape we want.
another day
Okay after reading a few other posts I suppose I should get personal, not me. If you want to get to know me, come work out or stop by my shop. Today I got to hear my daughter Adrian be interviewed by Bill on the radio, cool. I am so proud of how well she did on the show(she was on NBC's Biggest Loser for those of you who didn't know). My motivation is out living my mortgage and then some friends that I hunt with gave me a new power to lose. One of them asked what my goal would be if I could really lose weight and I said 100 lbs. He blurted out well if you do that by next hunting season I sill shave my head. Then another one said and I will shave my back(he doesn't have much on his head). Then another one (this one was drinking I think) said oh ya if you lose 100 lbs I will shave my ___s. It is kind of a private part of his body, but I already found a nurse that said she will shave him if I lose the wieght.
Last nights work out went well. I feel so good already and am amased at how fast the time I can work out has increased. This morning I did 15 minutes of cardio(shoveling snow). I am still waiting for Bill to get my picture on the website. Oh did I say I hate snow.

A lesson learned
Yesterday I worked for 9 hours and then went to workout. After about 20 minutes I was wiped out. I had only ate a apple and a bowl of fat free vegetable soup, it wasn't enough. I learned that I need to eat a few more calories to keep going. The holiday party the night before went pretty well I stayed away from the appitizers and only had one drink( a 4 oz martini). I did eat all that was on my plate, it's hard to quit the clean plate club. Besides that I drank water and visited with people. It is different not having that little buzz going when in a social situation like that.

start week 2
Ok week 1(actually it was 2 weeks) 11.1 pounds and Jason's team is kicking fat butt 78 pounds. Too bad Bill. I have not drank beer in 16 days 13 1/2 hours, but who's counting. Eating very healthy. Today I have my first Christmas party and hope it will go well. Tough week my daughter Adrian the biggest loser got voted off the show. She still lost about 70 pounds in 3 months. Now I have to follow her lead. My goal is 35 pounds by the end of this contest and 100 pounds by November 07. I am working out 4 times a week yet and have improved greatly over just 2 weeks ago. More later.

I hope the people who didn;t get on this contest won't hold ti against us like the nasty comments I read on NBC's biggest loser. For those of you who don't know it is my daughter who is on th TV show The Biggest Loser. I just hope I can do as well as she did. Well just for an fyi I am 40 something and have been fat all my life. I work 10-12 hours a day and am still going to find the time to do this. My goal is to change my life style and keep this up after the constest is over. More later
